The measure of feeling
A scent reaches you before words do. Before you can name it, you are somewhere else: a person, a place, a version of yourself you had almost forgotten. Of all the senses, smell is the one most closely bound to memory and emotion.
That is where our name comes from. Scent, and -metry, from the Greek metron, to measure. Scentometry is the measure of a scent: what it holds for you, and exactly how it is made.
We take the feeling seriously by taking the making seriously
Every scent in our library has its own code. Every blend is recorded to its ratio, in steps of ten percent. Every bottle is made at the strength you choose: Extrait at 40%, one of the highest perfume oil concentrations, Parfum at 30%, or Eau de Parfum at 20%. Nothing is bottled until you order it. Each order is measured, blended and assembled by hand, one at a time, by one pair of hands, and checked before it leaves us.
Precision is how we earn your trust. Feeling is why it matters.
Perfume should be yours
Our library holds more than one hundred scents, each inspired by a fragrance you may already know, each made as our own and given its own name. Start with the perfume you love. Wear it as it is, or blend two, three or four in the balance you choose. Then choose its strength, the size, the bottle and the cap.
Your blend is printed on the card that arrives with your bottle and kept on file, so you can return to it, or start somewhere new.
We are not the original houses, and we never claim to be. We are the custom perfume house. More than one hundred scents, and one of them is already yours.
